1. Minutes of the previous meeting
The minutes of 12 August were approved without amendment.
2. Delegation
The Committee received Barry Marchand of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, who attended at the
Committee's invitation to speak about access to services in the region.
Barry described a six-week wait for an assessment and provided a written
submission, which is appended. Barry gave a contact address of
158 Topsail Road and asked to be told the outcome. The Chair thanked
Barry Marchand and the delegation withdrew.
3. Correspondence
Yolande reported that an access to information request had been received
from Perpetua Hearn (file HCS-2026-0567) for the Committee's records for
the previous two years. Malcolm asked whether the delegation's submission
fell within the request. The Secretary undertook to seek advice.
4. Any other business
Aaron noted that the regional office telephone number published on the
Department's website is out of date and should read 709-555-1307.
